ABOUT BLACK DROP

I've always loved photography.  Each piece starts with one of my photographs.

I was fortunate to have the chance to work in a silversmith's studio where I learned about jewelry production, and also many aspects of running a business.

In 2008 I began displaying my photography in pendants and earrings, which allowed me to combine my experience in jewelry making and passion for photography to create something of my own.

My inspirations are nature and the city and the shapes and silhouettes that they create… how they are different but also similar, and my own ways to find peace and a space for myself within each.

Black Drop pieces are sold at the Granville Island Public Market in Vancouver, BC (go to www.blackdrop.ca/calendar for dates) and online as well in selected stores across Canada.

Each piece is designed and handmade by me from start to finish - all made from any combination of acrylic, sterling silver, wood, resin and a photograph.

PRODUCT CARE

It is best not to expose your piece to excessive moisture.  Also, some lotions or other skin products, could cause the resin or acrylic to break down over time so avoid exposing them directly.

To clean the resin/acrylic portions of your piece just wipe with a barely damp cloth. To clean the silver portions of your piece, since all silver has the potential to tarnish, you can buff with extra-fine steel wool or just polish with a polishing cloth.

3) or use your credit card in person at any show or market that Black Drop is at.

PAYPAL - Order from www.blackdrop.ca and pay using PayPal.  If you don't
have a PayPal account you can use your credit card via PayPal's secure site.

CHEQUE OR MONEY ORDER - Send an email to shop [at] blackdrop [dot] ca to place your order.
You will receive your total amount owing to send your cheque to.
Your order will be shipped once the cheque has cleared.

SHIPPING

The shipping cost is a $3 flat rate to anywhere.

Please allow up to 10 business days for your order to be filled (as it might not be in stock) and an additional 10 business days for your order to arrive. You can email shop@blackdrop.ca for an expedited shipping quote.

All orders are shipped in protective packaging and we re-use postage packaging whenever possible.
